Kate is currently adapting her play, GAMMY, into a feature film with director/writer Patricia Kelly with development support from Screen Ireland. Mark O’Halloran is attached as script editor with Four Quadrant Films as producer.

In 2025, Kate was short­listed to the final 32 with her short, DO BET­TER, for The Vir­gin Media Dis­cov­ery Awards.

Kate was also a finalist with Stowe Labs & Screen Ireland’s Connemara Writers’ Retreat, a five-day program designed for top emerging and established screenwriters and filmmakers with her TV series, BAD FRIEND.

Kate’s short WHISHT has been optioned by Mar­malade Films this year.
